# Docs MCP server

> Connect an agent to https://elide.help/mcp: search the docs, read pages, find samples, compare runtimes, read benchmarks, and report problems. Public, no authentication, Streamable HTTP.

`https://elide.help/mcp` serves these docs over the Model Context Protocol and accepts problem reports. It is public,
needs no authentication, and uses the Streamable HTTP transport.

## Reading tools

| `search_docs` | Search pages, sections, code samples, release notes and documented gaps. |
| `get_page` | Return one page as Markdown, by slug, path or URL. |
| `list_pages` | List pages with slugs and descriptions, optionally for one section. |
| `find_samples` | Find runnable code samples by query, language, tag or level. |
| `compare_runtimes` | Compare Elide with Node, Bun, Deno, CPython, Java or Kotlin, with a source for every claim. |
| `get_benchmarks` | Every published benchmark number with its command, machine and date. |

## Reporting tools

| `preview_report` | Read-only. Strips secrets and personal data, checks for duplicates, lists missing evidence, and returns the preview. |
| `submit_report` | Sends a report after the developer confirms. |
| `report_status` | Returns a report's status and, once triaged, its issue. |
| `check_known_issue` | Looks up existing issues for a problem before reporting it. |
